Updated Chocobo Wand Delivery Details!
The chocobo wand release has been delayed. Release date to be announced soon.
All Fan Festival attendees who were able to complete all the different quests in this year's Fan Festival Live Quest are eligible to receive a chocobo wand. The original release date
and delivery method have been changed. We will be contacting attendees that earned a chocobo wand via e-mail and sending an updated delivery date and claim instructions.
Regarding the release of the cordial invite that allows players to battle the heroes of Heroes Combat on their own world and with their own characters, please remember that just like a BCNM orb the invite is a one time use item. Player's that earned the invite will find it waiting for them in their delivery box upon logging in to FINAL FANTASY XI. Gather your friends together and take on the heroes one more time!
How to Get Your Moogle Rod!
In the Wrap-Up section we have added instructions on how to receive the moogle rod and other prizes.
The Fan Festival Wrap-Up sections have been updated to include the Contests and Raffles section. Don't forget that we've included the dates
and instructions on when and where to receive your moogle rod. If you were a Fan Festival attendee then you're entitled to a moogle rod for the character that
you registered for. Simply check the Wrap-Up section of the site for full details including a timeline in which the item can be received.
Fan Festival a Huge Success!
Over 1000 Attendees showed up to have fun on the Santa Monica Pier!

Marking this largest FINAL FANTASY XI event ever, Fan Festival 2006 had an
amazing weekend! The pier under our feet rumbled with each new announcement the development team made on Friday and Saturday.
We had a great time running Live Quest and it looks like everyone enjoyed the comradery and adventure. We had some fantastic art,
costume and movie entries and our finalists were cheered on stage. The winners were rewarded with valuable prizes from our many sponsors.

Thanks also to Microsoft for providing Xbox® 360s where our attendees challenged the three heroes of Vana'diel; Prince Trion of San d'Oria,
Minister Ajido-Marujido of Windurst, and Captain Volker of Bastok, in battle. Our Treasures of Aht Urhgan tour included a first look at Besieged,
a new form of combat that takes place in town! Our development panel explained more about this new fun aspect of the upcoming expansion. They also
talked about a lot of exciting new additions and changes to the world of Vana'diel as well as what people can expect from questing in the Aht Urhgan Empire.
So thank you everyone who attended, we're glad you had such a fun time and we hope to do this again soon. In the meantime, keep checking this website for
updates on how to receive your moogle rod and other prizes as well as a full wrap up on all the events activities! We will begin to send all in-game items soon.
Fan Festival Tickets Sold Out!
All the tickets for Fan Festival 2006 have been purchased resulting in our highest event turnout ever!
Our largest event ever has just sold out of pre-registration tickets and
because we completely sold out we're unable to sell tickets at the door. For such a high
turnout everyone is working hard to make sure that Fan Festival 2006 is the most exciting
event ever. With a very deep live quest, in-game tournaments, huge prize giveaways and the
global debut of the playable Treasures of Aht Urhgan, we're on track to exceed expectations.
Be sure to submit all your FINAL FANTASY XI Movie Contest and Art Contest submissions
(or just web links to them) to
ffxifestival@us.playonline.com by March 1st to be eligible to win some amazing prizes! Attendees can also start working on their costumes for the Costume Contest.

A new update on the contents of the Gobbie Bag in the Giveaways section!
The giveaways section is alive with a new update regarding the Gobbie Bag! The Gobbie Bag is a giveaway that we're presenting to each registered attendee at the beginning
of Fan Festival 2006. The Gobbie Bag contains information regarding the Fan Festival and a map of the event venue, but in addition to that we have a lot of prizes and merchandise
in store for our attendees this year. An update on the contents of the Gobbie Bag can be found now in the Giveaways section of the site. Check it out and be sure to register early
to get a hold of your own Gobbie Bag.
Star Onions to Play in the US!
FINAL FANTASY XI music group the Star Onions at Fan Festival 2006!
That's right, the Star Onions themselves will be performing on Saturday evening the 11th as the finalé to the Fan Festival.
They'll be center stage and surely play us out with a fantastic show uniquely planned for Fan Festival attendees.
