What is the FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Festival?

The Fan Festival is the major FINAL FANTASY XI event of the year. This two-day plus event will feature the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion playable for the first time, as well as the live North American Ballista Royale championship. Also, a movie contest, costume contest, raffles, and other tournaments will be held, as well as some to-be-announced events that will blow you away!

When and where is FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Festival?

The FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Fesival will be held on March 9-11, 2006 at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California. Information about the pier can be found here:

How much are tickets? How many will be available?

What do I get for the cost of a ticket?

Each registered attendee will receive a pass granting them event access for the duration of the Festival. In addition, each registered attendee will receive a Gobbie Bag containing exclusive items and FFXI merchandise. Not only that, but every registered player will receive a special new FINAL FANTASY XI in-game item to be announced soon!

Are there any hotel or travel discounts?

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome, but we do recommend that all minors be accompanied by an adult.

Once I buy my tickets, how do I register at the event?

Come to the registration desk at Santa Monica Pier on the day of the event. You will need to provide a valid I.D. and/or credit card at the door to claim your badge and Gobbie Bag.

Do I have to attend to receive my Gobbie Bag and in-game item?

You must attend to receive your Gobbie Bag. You don't have to attend to receive your in-game item…just be sure to enter your correct world name and character name when you register. (But we'd love to see you there!)

Can I wear a costume to the event?

Yes, in fact we encourage it and hope you enter the costume contest. However, no edged weapons, firearms, or actual crushing weapons are allowed. Inflatable, plastic, or wooden items are acceptable.

Will anything new be shown at the Fan Festival?

Yes. In addition to the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion, we've got some very special events planned. Stay tuned for details!

Will there be a time limit to play the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion?

Playtime will be restricted depending on availability to allow everyone to get a chance.
