The North America Ballista Royale Finals LIVE!
This match marks the championship bout between the top two teams of our Ballista Royale tournament! In addition to the exclusive in-game items, each member of the winning team will receive a fully decked-out custom Chains of Promathia PC!
The Ballista Royale matches have been non-stop action so far, with the highest rated teams from each world duelling to the end in some of the most exciting expositions ever! Now as the finals narrow down our two champions we're expecting some of the hardest matches and greatest games, finally ending in the match between the two truly most powerful parties in all of Vana'diel! FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Movie Contest
Catch Vana'diel adventurers submitting their own cinematic creations to compete for exclusive prizes!
This is your chance to show us your skills and amaze FINAL FANTASY XI fans from around the world with your unique film talents. Send in your greatest creations from sobering dramas to hilarious comedys. We'll plaster them on the big screen at our Fan Festival where a select few choice films will be premiered for a chance at our grand prize!
Tell the tale of how your brave party conquered the beastmen forces throughout Quon continent, or perhaps the endearing love story between a befuddled Blackmage and a shy but shining Summoner. Account the epic journeys of a guild of thieves as they looted the countryside only to reform and dedicate their lives to Altana as masterful Paladins. Tell your story, and you could be the one that wins in March!
Movie contest rules:
1. Must primarily contain in-game footage from FINAL FANTASY XI
2. No longer than 7 minutes
3. Format should be playable in Windows Media Player or Flash Multimedia
4. All submissions must be playable on local machines
5. Original music is preferred but not required
6. No more then 5 submissions per person
7. All movies will be considered, but Square Enix will choose the finalists
8. Movies can be submitted by download or sent by CD/DVD to Square Enix, Inc.
9. All submissions must be turned in by March 1, 2006.

FINAL FANTASY XI Costume Contest!
Come dressed up as your favorite FINAL FANTASY XI character and give your best twirl and pose on the catwalk for fun prizes!
You've seen them at conventions, you've seen them on the web, now they'll be here in person dressed to impress in their Square Enix attire! That's right, YOU, in your cosplay costumes specially designed like the various FINAL FANTASY XI personalities we've come to know and love. Or maybe you'd like to put together a classic Square Enix character like Cloud or Sora! Be our guest, literally, we treat cosplay characters like royalty in our costume contest.
Dress up in your best subligar, aketon, or scorpion harness and compete with others for wonderful prizes and a chance to strut your stuff personally up on stage. Even if you have a case of stagefright, bring your best props and costumes and get in the spirit of this our most exciting event yet!
Safety Reminder:
No edged weapons, firearms, or actual crusing weapons are allowed.
Inflatable, plastic, or wooden items are acceptable.
FINAL FANTASY XI Art Contest!
Not only do our fans have cinematic skill, but their artistic abilities are second to none!
We'd love to see your fan art! Send in your creations, be they pencil, pen and ink, paints, clay, chalk, or even paper mache. Your medium is your choice. We'll choose a select few to be represented at our event on display to be judged by FINAL FANTASY XI fans. After completing your creation send it by e-mail or postal mail to Square Enix, Inc. So bust out that easel, fashion that smok, poke your thumb through the palette and paint us some happy little trees, with a couple Tarutarus sitting in it.
Art contest rules:
1. Must represent subject matter from Square Enix products (extra consideration paid to material from FINAL FANTASY XI)

FINAL FANTASY XI Live Quest!
Now players can interact in real life with our FINAL FANTASY XI Live Quest! Players will venture forth in the surrounding area of the Festival talking to NPCs and gathering items for an amazing adventure!
Just as you can do in the world of Vana'diel you'll do in our recreated live quest on the Santa Monica Pier. Players will begin a quest to uncover a thief and retrieve a lost artifact of wealth and power. Various people and places scattered throughout the event hold the keys to retrieving this magical element and it will be up to you to discover the secrets it holds within. Group with new friends in your search to increase your chances. Be the first to solve the mystery and riches will be yours! Don't forget to keep track of your inventory -- items you trade may help you on your quest and can be used throughout the event. A living world of fantasy and legend awaits you!
