Xbox 360 Room!

The Arcadia Room adjacent to the main tent became our Xbox 360 room where we held Heroes Combat matches on brand new Xbox 360 consoles!

Most of our events for Fan Festival 2006 were held in the main tent on Santa Monica pier, but a portion of our event hosted the lastest in next generation technology, the Xbox 360 console! We had an entire building dedicated to showing off the look and feel of FINAL FANTASY XI on the Xbox 360 in our Arcadia room. The Arcadia room is a large building located north of the main tent. Inside we ran our registration and reception desk to get our attendees in as soon as possible as well as answer any questions and direct people throughout our event.

FINAL FANTASY XI on Xbox 360

FINAL FANTASY XI for Xbox 360 will launch on April 18th and include all previously released expansions and Treasures of Aht Urhgan!

The third FINAL FANTASY XI expansion Treasures of Aht Urhgan is available for PC, PS2 and now for the Xbox 360 gaming systems. The Xbox 360 release comes with FINAL FANTASY XI as well as the three expansions: Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia and Treasures of Aht Urhgan, so all the new adventurers to the world of Vana'diel will be ready to join the community in full force. With the Beta test for FINAL FANTASY XI on the Xbox 360 ending soon, it was very exciting to see all the features the Xbox 360 brings to the online community.

Heroes Combat Challenge!

Attendees had their hands full taking on the three heroes of Vana'diel.

The main event displayed on the Xbox 360s was the Heroes Combat tournament. Teams of six were able to party together to face one of the three heroes of Vana'diel (The Solitary Demolisher), two at a time (The Dauntless Duo) or all three heroes at once (The Indomitable Triumvirate). Players would create their macros and discuss strategy before beginning play. If a party faced all three heroes at a time, they were up against our most difficult challenge. Only a few parties defeated all three foes. The entire room would erupt in appluase each time a team of players was able to win. We also had a few stations dedicated to free play and attendees checked out how their character looked and felt playing on an Xbox 360. There never were many empty seats as the opportunity to try out FINAL FANTASY XI on this new console became available. It was a really exciting couple of nights inside the Arcadia room.

The Heroes of Vana'diel!

Three nations in Vana'diel are home to some of the greatest champions people have ever known, and now you can face them in battle!

In Heroes Combat, players challenge the three heroes of Vana'diel, Prince Trion of San d'Oria, Captain Volker of Bastok, and Minister Ajido-Marujido of Windurst. Each one of these heroes plays to a unique style of fighting and carries abilities unseen anywhere else in the world of Vana'diel. Prince Trion, Captain Volker, Minister Ajido-Marujido each use the skills of their job style but also pull some tricks of their own to conquer players. They're definitely a difficult bunch, but with the right strategy adventurers stand a chance. It was our Fan Festival attendees time to shine as they grouped together to prove their worth in battle.

In-Game Item Prize!

Previously Heroes Combat was limited to events only, but with this item you can take the fun home with you!

Attendees who participated in our Live Quest and successfully completed one quest were awarded a Cordial Invite. This invite allows them to play Heroes Combat from home by entering the Steller Fulcrum in Delkfutt's tower and presenting this invite at the gate. This time the attendees will be fighting the three heroes of Vana'diel with their own characters. We enjoyed every moment inside the Xbox 360 room at our Fan Festival this year and are eagerly anticipating the release of FINAL FANTASY XI for the Xbox 360!
