FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Art Contest!
The artistic abilities of our fans are second to none and here's another chance to prove it!
There were so many beautiful entries in our Art and Crafting Contests last year, we knew we had to run it again and give our talented fans another opportunity to show off their skills!
All of you artistic savants, pick up your pens and pencils, click that mouse, and needle that point because we're looking to show off your finest works! Finalist artworks will be displayed during Fan Festival and winners will be selected by majority attendee votes (paper/box submission). There are two contest categories: drawing (pictures, paintings, computer graphics, etc.) and crafting (sculptures, figures, woodwork, etc.). After completing your creation send it by e-mail or postal mail to Square Enix, Inc.

We're hoping to see some more truly creative work! Maybe you're the post-modern type; well, send us that red square on a white field under a mantle of chocobo feathers! Or if you like the classic styles, see if you can make a mesmerizing Galka smile and be the envy of Renaissance Humes the world over! It's up to you what you do; so put your best foot forward!
Drawing Category Rules:
- Entry period begins Tuesday October 7th, 2008, and ends Sunday November 23rd, 2008
- Each individual can submit a limit of 1 entry
- Entries must be submitted in a ".bmp", ".jpg", or ".png" file
- Entries can be in any image resolution, but we recommend a high resolution as the finalists will have their entries printed
- Entries can be submitted by download or sent by CD/DVD to Square Enix, Inc.
- All submissions will be considered, but Square Enix will choose the finalists to be displayed during Fan Festival. Finalists will be notified prior to Fan Festival of their entries being displayed
SQUARE ENIX OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES
All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials"), including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith, submitted by you become the property of Square Enix upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Square Enix will own all rights to use, modify, and make derivative works of the Entry Materials, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Square Enix's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Square Enix to effect, perfect or confirm Square Enix's ownership rights as set forth above in this paragraph. Entry materials may be used by contestants only for purposes of the Contest or for private, personal, non-public viewing. Entry materials received by Square Enix may be destroyed by Square Enix at any time following the Contest.

Crafting Category Rules:

- Entries must be within 1 cubic foot in size. (12in x 12in x 12in)
- All submissions will be considered, but Square Enix will choose the finalists to be displayed during Fan Festival. Finalists will be notified prior to Fan Festival of their entries being displayed

FINAL FANTASY XI Costume Contest!
We are looking forward to this year's display of our player's talents!
We're extremely excited to see this year's entries. The finalists for last year's contest were so breathtaking that they'll be hard to beat, but we're sure our fans will have more surprises this time around!
Whether arriving as their favorite NPC, or dressed in their best gear, our Costume Contest participants are sure to impress. Truly inspiring designs are always appreciated; it's amazing to see the different elements of Vana'diel brought to life!
The best part about this contest is the winners are chosen by the audience! All contestants will be given a chance to appear on stage, but our esteemed judges will select only 10 finalists. Your peers then will be giving the cheers so remember to strut your stuff on stage and wow your fans!
Costume Contest Rules:
- No edged weapons, firearms, or actual crushing weapons are allowed. Plastic, wooden, or inflatable items are accepted
- FINAL FANTASY XI Themed Costumes only
- All contestants will be considered, but Square Enix will choose the finalists on stage during Fan Festival
